So Recently, I heard Zlatan’s new song titled “Yeye Boyfriend” and for a moment I was so disappointed. The Song is Groovy, I know… But is it sensible?
After high expectation and anticipation, Zlatan releases his controversial single titled “Yeye Boyfriend”. He employs the service of his Midas touch producer, Rexxie for the groovy and moombahton beat, which makes the song an instant addiction.
However, the song still basks in the same tempo with his last release “Bolanle” in terms of the beat and narrations of the song, cause they both serve as a conduit of depression to an ordinary guy trying to survive on the street.
Checkout Zlatan Yeye Boyfriend below:-
At first, the snippet was a freestyle, just an ordinary studio vibe that came to your head while jonzing with your guys in the booth.
and something that looks like promising video content when shared on Social media, but the Zanku Master should have just let it be like that, instead of making a full song out of his ignorance.
However, he also goof in the whole delivery of the song, because apart from the normal popular line that has already been released as a snippet which says “Elo le ti na, te ni billing fe pa yin……. Which means (How much can that cost, you just have to billing to kill …….
There was really no memorable additional lines to the full song again, just a repetition of lines from “Bolanle” and the eulogizing of popular Yahoo Boys, for personal clout chasing purpose.
I noticed the song made it to his debut album “Zanku To The World” and this actually dwarfed my expectations for that albums, cause if a freestyle cum song like “Yeye Boyfriend” makes it to the tracklist, then there isn’t really a better recording in place initially.
Perhaps, Isn’t that what sell now in Nigeria? We care less about the lyrics of the song, we just dance to the beats and gee our body to anything that sound drummy. So, with that my perspective can be wholly different from yours.
