Fireboy’s hard work on “Apollo” album seems to have made him rise up above his peers of Rema, Joeboy, and others in the music industry.
The reason is not far-fetched, Nigeria’s music industry appreciates hard work and consistency, if on top of it all you’re gifted with real musical talent, you will always win.
You will recall that last year, Rema conveniently occupied the top spot among the peers of newcomers, Fireboy, Joeboy, Oxlade, and others because he could release 3 EPs within a short period of time.
This year, Fireboy played a fast one and released a whole full album after 3 hot music releases. He even released it when the Buzz around Burna Boy’s “Twice As Tall” album was still very much active.
A decision that works well for the album and contributed to its success on all front. Fireboy‘s “Apollo” album recently debuts, No. 14 on Billboard World albums.
Currently, the album has attracted more than a 50million streams across all platforms.
With the ongoing success of “Apollo” album, Fireboy seems to have overtaken Rema and gets far ahead of Joeboy in the music industry.
It will not be so surprising if, at the end of this year, the name of Fireboy gets mentioned when announcing the winner on several award stages.
